Q. Do you have any biographical info about Falco?
A. His real name is Johann Hoelzel, and he was
born in Vienna, Austria on February 19, 1957, died in a car crash in the
Domican Republic on February 6, 1998. For more details about this tragedy,
click here. The funeral took place at the "Zentralfriedhof" (main graveyard
in Vienna) on Saturday 14 February 1998. I also was told that there is
a special honored grave for him.

Q. I live in the US, or some other place where I do not see Falco CD's in the store, how do I get them?
A. You can get them from places on the internet (see below) to get all the CD's that are still in print. Expect to have to use more than one of these vendors. To get out of print items look in used record stores or search the internet. I have been able to find many rare items by regularly searching Usenet (internet newsgroups). Try using Deja News to find individuals trying to sell them.

A. You can't. I think you can write to his managers. If you figure this one out, let me know. The only thing even close that I have would be an address for Markus Spiegel (you'll see Markus Spiegel's name on a lot of Falco's albums; I think he's Falco's old Manager from Gig Records). If you write to him, I recommend that you do so in German.

Q. What about Falco's videos?
A. Falco has done many videos! They are all quite good. His videos have been shown on VH1(US), MuchMusic(Canada), VIVA(Germany), 3sat(Germany), ZDF(Germany), BR(Germany), ORF(Austria), and probably others. Several people have specifically recommended watching "The Big 80's" on VH1. In addition to the Rock Me Falco videotape, there are also other videos, including "Heldon von Heute" (which I would love to have a complete copy of) and "Das War Falco", "Falco Hoch Wie Nie, der James Dean von Wien". I am trying to compile a complete list of all his videos, but I know I am missing some. If you know of any not shown on the list below, please email me!
